The E.P.I.C. students have began conversing, a couple with their future teacher, Lieliana. Meanwhile the 3 remaining Apocalypse factions have been meeting up on a hill, to prepare for their assault. The survivors of the War faction have picked up a signal using a satellite that they took over to tell them when multiple Apocalypse members meet in one place. Now they are in preperation to ruin Apocalypse's attempt to obtain the Milele Jua. The Famine faction has sent in one of their members to obtain the Milele Jua, or in the very least hack their security system.
Now the E.P.I.C. students have begun to notice something wrong, as soon as Apocalypse begins their assault. The War faction is still in preparation but they're pretty close to start heading for the school. The western side of the external security unit for the school has already been taken out, and a few of the Apocalypse members have already made it into the school. The hunt is on. A group of scientists has banded together to build the world?s first privately funded deep-space telescope, to hunt for asteroids that could pose a major threat to Earth.
The private space telescope forms the heart of Project Sentinel, a deep-space mission being unveiled today (June 28) in Mountain View, Calif., by the B612 Foundation, a nonprofit group of scientists and explorers that has long advocated the exploration of asteroids and better space rock monitoring.
Project Sentinel involves the development of a super-snooper telescope that would be placed in orbit around the sun. The goal, foundation officials say, is to create the first comprehensive dynamic map of our inner solar system.
That map would yield a lively look at the present and future locations and trajectories of near-Earth asteroids, paving the way to protecting the Earth from future impacts and opening the solar system to future exploration. [Sentinel Space Telescope's Asteroid Mission (Pictures)]??

Ed Lu is B612 chairman and CEO, a former NASA astronaut who has flown on the space shuttle and Russia's Soyuz capsule and lived aboard the International Space Station.
"The reason we?re doing this is because we can!"Lu told SPACE.com
Private organizations can now carry out awe-inspiring and audacious projects that previously only governments could accomplish, Lu said.
"So it isn?t crazy to think of a large telescope being funded privately. In fact, historically, that has been the way large, private telescopes here on Earth have been funded. The exception here is that rather than being on the Earth, this one is orbiting the sun," Lu said.
A lot of work has gone into shaping Project Sentinel over the last year, Lu said. Akin to the architectural plans for a building, he said, a preliminary spacecraft and mission design is complete.
"This isn?t a viewgraph," Lu added."What we?ve built is the best technical team on this planet."
A firm fixed-price proposal to carry out Project Sentinel has been submitted by Ball Aerospace of Boulder, Colo., enabled in part by early infrared-detector work funded by B612.
No stranger to big space scopes, Ball Aerospace is the technical sparkplug behind such NASA-sponsored spacecraft as theplanet-hunting Kepler mission and the infrared Spitzer Space Telescope.
Under a NASA Space Act Agreement signed with B612, the space agency will provide Deep Space Network communications and tracking as well as technical support.
Hunting asteroids for all mankind
Project Sentinel would complete its near-Earth object (NEO) survey work in 5.5 years.
"The line in the sand is for the spacecraft to find 90 percent of near-Earth objects larger than 140 meters [459 feet] in size. That translates into approximately a 100-megaton explosion should one hit the Earth," Lu said. "If we go as long as we think we?re going to go, we?re also going to find the vast majority of Tunguskas, too." [7 Strangest Asteroids in the Solar System]
The Tunguska River in remote Siberia was the site directly under a huge explosion in 1908, an air burst of a large meteoroid or comet fragment estimated to have flattened more than 80 million trees over 830 square miles (2,150 square kilometers).
According to B612, only about 10,000 of the more than half million asteroids ?larger than the 1908 Tunguska asteroidwhose orbits cross Earth?s orbit have been discovered and tracked.
Project Sentinel would find and road-map Earth-bound asteroids with sufficient warning time ? years to decades ? to enable deflection missions.
This all adds up to an awe-inspiring project for the global good, the B612 NEO team said.
Space telescope price tag
What?s the cost to build the Project Sentinel telescope?
"We can?t disclose the final price, but I can give you a ballpark of a few hundred million dollars. Which is, I think, a factor of several less than what NASA could do this for," Lu said.
To foot the bill for Project Sentinel, a worldwide fundraising campaign is being implemented, including outreach to citizens around the globe.
"Our constituency is everybody," said B612 spokeswoman Diane Murphy.
"If you think about it, what we are is a small capital campaign," Lu said. "At any given time in the United States, there?s probably a hundred fundraising campaigns larger than this ? for symphony halls, museums, performing arts centers."
Data pipeline set
As now forecast, Project Sentinel would be launched in 2016 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, Lu said. The spacecraft operations center is to be based at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Project Sentinel would require a gravity slingshot off Venus to enter solar orbit. Data relay would be carried out through the NASA Deep Space Network. Data analysis ? identification of NEO threats ? is to be handled through an existing data pipeline at the Minor Planet Center in Cambridge, Mass., and the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif.
"When you stand back from this, ? this is like the whole issue of mapping the U.S, and almost everything else that precedes real development and exploration," said former astronaut Rusty Schweickart, B612 chairman emeritus, who was the lunar module pilot on the Apollo 9 mission.
"The meta-view of what we?re doing ? is mapping the Earth, sun, the inner solar system ? the Earth Territory, if you will," Schweickart said. That, he said, would pave the way toward protecting the Earth from impacts and opening the solar system to exploration. ??
Legacy space systems
"An exciting aspect of Ball?s role on Sentinel is leveraging sophisticated technology developed under the Deep Impact, Spitzer, and Kepler missions for the B612 Foundation," said John Troeltzsch, the company?s Sentinel Program manager.
Troeltzsch told SPACE.com the aerospace firm will reuse deep-space elements the company helped pioneer. For the privately funded mission, that could include the science-downlink technology flown on Kepler and the cryogenic thermal-isolation system from the Spitzer Space Telescope.
The Sentinel ground system will build on the system in daily use by the Kepler mission, which is supplied to Ball by the LASP at Colorado-Boulder.
"Ball has been working on the mission concept for a NEO survey mission like Sentinel since 2005. This has allowed us to refine and iterate the design to a state of maturity that supports a commercial offering to B612," Troeltzsch said. "Although there are challenges in front of us, like the development of the focal plane detectors, the overall system is based on proven, high-heritage systems."
Troeltzsch said it?s not every day you can have fun working on a powerful space telescope and help protect the planet at the same time.
?Sooner or later one of the NEOs that Sentinel will discover will end up on a collision course with the Earth. I am sure that my kids and grandkids will appreciate the foresight B612 has shown in sponsoring this mission to help protect us all,? Troeltzsch concluded.

In November Americans will go to the polls to select a new president. Both candidates have made their positions crystal clear on a number of issues and experts are predicting a very close race. President Obama inherited an economy that was in shambles and so far has not been able to bring back economic stability. For most Americans the economy is the most important issue and both candidates have focused their campaign efforts on the economy and how to improve it. There is one issue where the position of both candidates is not clear; online gambling.
Because of the economy and several wars online gambling has taken a back seat in the current presidential race. Neither candidate has voiced a clear position. In 2008 Obama was seen as more sympathetic to online gaming than Republican John McCain. Gamblers were disappointed in 2011 when the Justice department headed by Obama appointee Eric Holder seized the domains and assets of four online poker sites. A month later a popular online bingo site was seized. The actions caused one major online bingo network to withdraw from the US market.
If the economy continues to improve the elected president will face pressure from cash strapped states that want new revenue streams that legal online gambling will provide. Nelson Rose, a Whittier College law professor who specializes in gaming issues told the Huffington Post ?The president and Congress are going to be faced with proposals both to legalize every form of gambling and also outlaw all the gambling.? Over half of all states are currently passing pro online gambling legislation. Gambling critics say that the harm will outweigh the revenues provided by online gaming. Les Bernal, the executive director of the nonprofit Stop Predatory Gambling stated ?Anyone serious about getting America heading in the right direction has to get government out of the predatory gambling business.?
So far neither candidate has stated a clear position on internet gaming. When he was governor of Massachusetts Mitt Romney supported the introduction of slot machines to help shrink a $3 billion dollar deficit. Romney later opposed the slots saying that the state was revitalized and no longer had to suffer from the harm done by gambling. Earlier in the year Romney told the Las Vegas Sun he would state his position on gambling before the Iowa Caucus. So far no statement has been forthcoming. Romney is also a Mormon and the Mormon Church is vehemently opposed to gambling.
Online bingo players remain frustrated by a lack of clarity from both candidates when it comes to online gaming. At this point it is hard to determine which candidate would best serve the interests of online bingo players and gamblers.

CenturyLink may get some competition from a Loveland-based startup if the company can obtain a grant from the federal government to help pay system infrastructure costs.
Eugene Bynes of Denver is partnering with Fort Collins resident Walter Huang in a company called G&W Telecommunications to build a wireless communications system from Huang?s Loveland data center to Red Feather Lakes, about 50 miles away.
CenturyLink, formerly Qwest, currently provides communications services to Red Feather Lakes area residents, but some residents have been critical of the speed of the service provided by CenturyLink, saying it is too slow to permit telecommuting.
Bynes made a presentation to the Red Feather Lakes Planning Advisory Committee on June 7, telling committee members his company could provide a less costly alternative to CenturyLink.
?It would be a substantially reduced cost from CenturyLink or Verizon,? Bynes said.
He said the system would require two signal relay towers to reach Red Feather Village. Because Red Feather is unincorporated, G&W would have to secure contracts with individual entities for their service.
CenturyLink officials met with the Red Feather Planning Advisory Committee in May and heard several complaints about their service. Officials at the time promised they would step up their efforts to improve the situation by mid-summer.
But planning committee members a month later said little had changed. ?Nothing?s changed at my office, not a thing,? said Lon Hughes, PAC chairman and local Realtor.
Creed Kidd, Red Feather Lakes library director, said there remains a general feeling of dissatisfaction with CenturyLink.
?I think there has been some unhappiness and we have not had good service in the past,? Kidd said. ?I think they have made a concerted effort to improve service, but we haven?t seen any increase in speed yet.?
Kidd, who heard Byne?s G&W presentation, said he thought it was ?very good.?
?I thought it sounded very possible,? he said. ?My concern is this is a startup that?s dropped out of the sky. Who are they and what can they do??
Hughes, on the other hand, said he was not persuaded by the G&W presentation. ?He didn?t impress me at all,? Hughes said.
Bynes said two 120-foot towers ? likely on public land? would be needed to create the new system.
Bynes said those signed up to use the new system would have to purchase their own receiving equipment, which would cost between $300 and $400.
Alan Davis, CenturyLink?s area operations manager for Northern Colorado, said he could not comment on the possibility of competition from G&W.
?I don?t know what services they offer, so I really don?t have a comment on that,? he said.
Davis said CenturyLink is well along in making system improvements in the Red Feather area.
?We?ve already done that,? he said. When asked if local residents were still upset with CenturyLink?s service, Davis said he did not believe so.
?I guess I?m not hearing those complaints or getting any calls,? he said.
Kidd said he?s open to anything that will improve communications services.
?In terms of services, we are vendor-neutral,? he said. ?If CenturyLink can do it, if G&W can do it, if Verizon can do it ? that?s great, so long as the speed is there and it?s affordable.?

The first day we didn?t think it was funny.
That the great Nora Ephron died last night at 71. That it was sudden?a vigil on Twitter, a flurry of worried texts from friends, and then Tuesday night the bell tolled. Ephron, the legendary writer and director, had died of pneumonia, a complication of myeloid leukemia.
What was least funny of all was how many of us obsessive fans who dreamed of meeting the cool, hilarious and incomparable Nora?and striking up a fast friendship?never will.
?I never got to be Nora?s friend,? wrote the great Joan Juliet Buck, in seeming disbelief, today.
I know just how she feels. How is that possible? I was going to ask Nora Ephron if a starstruck outsider could ever understand her Upper West Side, or if we should quit trying. I was going to ask her about working with Dave Chappelle in "You?ve Got Mail." I was going to praise her essays from the 1970s on Pat Loud and Linda Lovelace. I was going to be quiet so she could make jokes I?d never forget.
I was going to be Nora Ephron?s friend, dammit.
Sure, maybe the fantasy of a perfect soul-merger with Ephron was always just a fantasy. No one woman should have had to field all those offers of friendship and expressions of sisterly awe. To have what she was having?that?s what we wanted.

The freedom to say we couldn?t care less about the budget crisis. The comic lines that always landed right?and then the sudden turns in language and stagecraft that gently blew the heart open. And the fabulous, sexy and merry marriage to Nick Pileggi?Nick and Nora!?that, metropolitan rumor had it, involved lots and lots of somehow unpretentious time on yachts.

For what seemed like most of the 1980s, my mother, just Ephron?s age, clutched a paperback of "Heartburn" like a pack of cigarettes. Her favorite scene was the one where Rachel decides there?s no going back: Her marriage is over. She bequeathed Ephron?s words to me like something from the Tao Te Ching. ?If I throw this pie at him, he will never love me. But he doesn?t love me anyway. So I can throw the pie if I want to.?

LONDON, June 25 - U.S. regulators have ruled against Shire in a battle over generic copies of its hyperactivity drug Adderall XR, approving a cut-price version of the medicine from Actavis, which is being bought by Watson Pharmaceuticals .
The decision is a blow to Shire's near-term earnings and shares in the London-listed drugmaker tumbled 12 percent to 17.30 pounds by 0940 GMT.
Until now there have only been two authorised generic forms of Adderall XR, both supplied by Shire, and the arrival of the new competitor from Actavis, despite an appeal against the move by Shire, will increase pricing pressure.
Analysts at Jefferies said the Food and Drug Administration's approval of the first abbreviated new drug application had been anticipated, but the move had come sooner than expected.
Despite the setback, Shire said on Monday it continued to believe it would deliver good full-year 2012 earnings growth.
Panmure Gordon, however, reduced its price target for the stock to 17.00 pounds from 17.80 previously and reiterated its "sell" recommendation.
Adderall XR has been a mainstay of Shire's expanding ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) drug business, although the company has newer drugs for the condition in Vyvanse and Intuniv that are both increasing U.S. market share.
Mark Clark, an analyst at Deutsche Bank, said the impact of the arrival of Actavis' generic would be felt mainly on near-term earnings forecasts, since most Shire watchers had already assumed such generic competition in 2013.
Deutsche cut its 2012-13 earnings forecasts by 5-6 percent but it still expects attractive double-digit percentage growth over the medium term, with Shire's compound annual earnings growth rate put at 11 percent to 2015.
Shire has grown rapidly over the years through the successful marketing of drugs for ADHD. More recently, the company has diversified into new areas and now has a growing focus on rare diseases, an area of growing interest across the drugs sector.

JERUSALEM (AP) ? Gaza's militant Hamas rulers threatened to escalate fighting with Israel on Saturday after airstrikes killed several gunmen in the coastal territory, and Palestinian rocket attacks on Israel wounded one person and damaged an elementary school in the country's south.
The two sides periodically clash, but this flare-up was the most serious in months. It started with an attack by a little known al-Qaida-inspired Palestinian militant group but has extended to drag in Hamas.
Hamas has largely stayed out of direct confrontation with Israel since a war more than three years ago although other factions have launched cross-border attacks.
Gaza militants fired over 30 rockets and mortar shells on Saturday alone, bringing the week's rocket tally to more than 150, according to the Israeli military.
Over a million people in southern Israel live in range of the rockets and the Israeli military has advised the residents to make sure they can get to a bomb shelter quickly.
An Egyptian official in Ramallah said that he is trying to broker a cease-fire between the Palestinian militant groups and Israel. He said he hoped calm would be restored by late Saturday. Egypt traditionally plays a mediating role between the sides.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because negotiations were ongoing. Israel had no immediate official comment on the Egyptian efforts, but Hamas official Ayman Taha said his group would cease fire if Israel does. Soon after Taher spoke more rockets fired from Gaza exploded in southern Israel. It was not clear which group fired them.
A previous cease-fire reached late Tuesday did not hold long.
Military Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz convened "an urgent meeting" to discuss ways of dealing with a week of persistent Palestinian attacks, a spokesman said, while Defense Minister Ehud Barak consulted with senior officials Saturday evening. There was no official statement afterward but the Israeli media reported that the decision was made "to meet fire with fire and quiet with quiet."
Israel's military said it carried out a series of airstrikes Saturday in response to the rockets. At least four militants were killed and over 20 Palestinians, both combatants and civilians, were injured, according to Gaza health official Ashraf Al Kedra.
Hamas' military wing, the Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades, vowed to escalate the fighting.
"If the last rounds were not enough to deliver the message ... we are ready to crush the enemy and to curb its arrogance and to respond to aggression in a strong way," the group said in a statement released Saturday afternoon.
A few hours later an Israeli airstrike killed a Gaza militant riding a scooter. The Popular Resistance Committees, a Hamas-allied militant group that often fires rockets at Israel, said he was a member. Witnesses said the force of the explosion caused a wall of a nearby building to collapse, injuring several people. The Israeli military said they targeted the militant as he was preparing to launch rockets.
In an earlier attack the same day, an Israeli airstrike killed a Palestinian militant as he rode his motorcycle in Gaza. Several buildings used by Hamas, which rules the coastal territory, were also damaged.
The Israeli military said it hit "terror sites" and that it holds Hamas accountable for any attacks originating from the Gaza Strip.
Also, an Israeli was seriously wounded when a Gaza rocket smashed through a factory roof. Rockets from Gaza also hit a school in the Israeli border town of Sderot. The school was closed for the weekend so no one was hurt but the building was damaged. Several other Israelis were injured in Palestinian rocket attacks this past week.
"We have been enduring years of relentless Palestinian escalations and this is just one of them," said David Buskila, mayor of the Israeli border town Sderot where the school was hit. "We trust the Israeli military and government to restore calm," he said.
The spike in violence began Monday when two gunmen infiltrated into Israel along its border with Egypt's Sinai peninsula and killed an Israeli Arab construction worker who was part of a crew building a border security fence meant to avert such attacks. Later, a little known al-Qaida-inspired group, the Mujahedeen Shura Council of Jerusalem, claimed responsibility for the attack and identified the gunmen as an Egyptian and a Saudi.
Since then, Gaza gunmen have fired barrages of rockets and mortar rounds at Israel, wounding several Israelis and damaging apartment buildings. Israel has carried out airstrikes on militant targets that killed at least 12 Palestinians and wounded dozens so far.
Meanwhile, Gaza health official Ashraf Al Kedra said a boy was killed in a playground during an airstrike Saturday morning in Khan Younis. The Israeli military said it had not attacked that area.
Military spokeswoman Lt. Col. Avital Leibovich later called the allegation a "false rumor" and said that according to intelligence information, the boy was killed by "ordinance belonging to one of the terror groups." Palestinian rockets often misfire and explode inside Gaza.

It?s the most wonderful time of the year. La la la la la la! No, it?s not Christmas, Spring is here! It?s time to pack away our jackets and boots and break out the cute tanktops and flats.
Along with the warm breeze and the blooming flowers, there are also blooming relationships all around. This jolly season is the time for weddings, engagements, and baby showers.
So singles, get ready to be asked, ?When is the big day?? Or ?Where?s the boo?? Or ?When are you finally gonna have a baby?? It?s barely spring, and I have been asked these questions too many times to count already. Plus, they are causing me to go ?Ex-Digging?: going through my phone and trying to find an ?ex? that can quench my loneliness a bit.?
It was hard, but I stopped myself and decided to go with the only one who can fully understand what I was going through: God. I prayed and while telling God about how I felt, my subconscious began to wander off into a deeper issue that I had no idea was a problem for me: Regret.
I am a proud ?Church baby?: I grew up, down, and around the church. I am sure many church babies can attest to the pressure that comes along with becoming involved with the opposite sex; it?s a touchy topic.
So instead of relationships, I would say I have had a few ?relations?. A ?relation? is when you have a crush, it grows into having feelings then it fizzles before anything really becomes official. Am I right ?Church babies???
This is what I like to call the ?Church Baby Syndrome?, Because of the uncertainty; it is not clear to young Christian singles what they are allowed to do or not do in a relationship. You begin to have questions like: Is it ok to kiss, hug, or even hold hands? If you do any of these, your mind is going like, ?Yep, I?m going to hell?.
So because of this, I have pushed away many of my ?relations? so that I wouldn?t be breaking the ?rules? and 
now I?m living with the regret. I began thinking maybe being single was my fault.
Maybe I lost my chance of getting my happily ever after, and I missed the chance with my prince charming. Then I went into dwelling on my ?shoulda, woulda and coulda?. I resented myself.
Then I thought about Romans 8:28: ?And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose?. This brought me to the conclusion that maybe my ?relations? did not work out because they would compromise my purpose in God.
It also could be that for this stage in my life and for what I need to accomplish in my Christian walk, it is essential that I am single.
So maybe I don?t have Denzel on my arm and two perfect kids, but I have the best happy ending I could ever have: Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior; my best friend.
Don?t get it twisted, this realization is NOT easy to achieve, but if I don?t wrap my head around it, I?ll make my best friend into a liar and we all know that is impossible. He told us in Mathew 6:33, ?But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well?.
He also said in Mathew 28:20, ?Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.? With all that confirmation, what else is there to complain about? So again, what is the cure for loneliness? ?Church babies syndrome?? ?Ex-Digging?? Regret? His love. His word. His promises. Thank you, Jesus!
