Exclusive 'Battleship' Clip Sneak Peek: Rihanna Gets Fierce
Watch the full clip on Monday at 7:56 p.m. ET on MTV and an interview with the cast shortly after on MTV.com!

By now you've probably heard that on Monday, April 30, the cast of "Battleship" will present a never-before-seen clip from the upcoming movie on MTV at 7:56 p.m. ET.
You probably know all about the 30-minute interview with the stars that will follow on MTV.com and how you can get your question answered by submitting a video or text to MTV.com or Twitter via @MTVNews, using the hashtags #MTVFirst and #askBATTLESHIP.
But that's probably not enough for you, since you simply cannot wait until the clip's premiere on Monday night. Luckily, we have a sneak peek at the exclusive scene, and it looks like things are going to get a little explosive.
"Battleship" is the latest adaptation from Hasbro, and boasts one of the hottest young casts of any movie this summer. Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgård, Rihanna and Brooklyn Decker all star in the upcoming sci-fi action flick and will participate in the extended chat on MTV.com immediately after the clip airs.
Kitsch spoke with MTV News last fall about his latest collaboration with director Peter Berg, who gave the Canadian actor his big break on the television adaptation of "Friday Night Lights." "You don't know what to expect with 'Battleship,' especially when we team up, Pete and I. You're going to get a lot of laughs, guaranteed," Kitsch said. "And, of course, the action is going to speak for itself. It's huge."

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Precise Pangolin hits the web, with HUD in tow
It's here! Precise Pangolin or, as it's officially known, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Canonical's latest is now available in its final(ish) form and ready for you to download, burn and install. While LTS (Long Term Support) releases are generally more conservative in their application of new features, Pangolin does include some rather notable tweaks. The most immediately noticeable will be the new log in screen which, while largely the same, does have the slick new trick of changing wall papers to match the selected user. A more subtle change is revealed once you've logged on and press alt -- HUD. The new search-based menu system is quite a departure from traditional interaction models, and one that will come as a relief to those who constantly forget where a particular option is buried. Perhaps the most welcome change, though, is the vastly improved performance and power management. Ubuntu, for all of its finer points, has never been particularly battery friendly. But Canonical is promising that is going to change. We'll have to wait to find out once we get this bad boy installed on some machines of our own. Verizon ICS update schedule leaks: Rezound, RAZR and Xoom being tested now
While there are already vague Android update plans for Verizon-connected Samsung devices, a leaked screen from somewhere within the Big Red bunker has offered up some more details. It looks like the Rezound, Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx are closest to the upgrade finish-line with testing likely to finish by May 7th for the HTC model and May 17th for the Motorola duo. According to Droid Life, Verizon's Motorola Xoom (you know, the Android tablet) is getting its update direct from Google, but it hasn't been deigned worthy of a concrete release date. A handful of software updates are also pegged for the likes of the Bionic, Thunderbolt, Revolution, Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Xperia Play, but they look likely to be more incremental than outright OS upgrades. Walmart Adds ?Pay With Cash? For Online Shoppers At Walmart.com
Walmart.com is launching a new way to checkout, targeting customers who don't have credit or debit cards...or money in the bank for that matter. The company is now allowing customers to buy online and pay with cash. The change reflects the current economic conditions in the U.S., as Walmart states (citing FDIC figures) that one in four U.S. households is "unbanked" or "underbanked" - meaning they rely on cash for their purchases. PSA: Space Shuttle Enterprise flying over NYC this morning
JFK may be a place that many, many people have gone to before, but it's safe to say that the Space Shuttle Enterprise will be going there boldly. Much like the Space Shuttle Discovery turned heads in DC last week, Space Shuttle Enterprise will be stopping traffic in New York City today. NASA has confirmed that today's 747-100 ferry flight across Manhattan is a "Go" and that the duo will "fly at a relatively low altitude over various parts of the New York City metropolitan area on Friday" before landing at JFK. The Shuttle will then, in the coming weeks, be put on a ferry of a floating variety and brought to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. Today's flying tour is scheduled to take place between 9:30 and 11:30 am and... oh look, at the time, we must be going.
Update: NASA has confirmed takeoff from Dulles! The flight plan is not known, but as before your best bet is to follow the #spottheshuttle hashtag on Twitter.

Britney Spears' Fiance Granted Legal Control Of Singer

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/spears_britney/artist.jhtml">Britney Spears</a>' fiancé, Jason Trawick, has been granted his wish to become her co-conservator. The talent agent's request was approved by a Los Angeles judge Wednesday (April 25). </P><P> </P><P>Spears' former agent-turned-paramour <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1682699/britney-spears-fiance-legal-control.jhtml">petitioned the Los Angeles Superior Court earlier this month</a> to become the pop star's co-conservator. He will share the responsibility with Spears' father, Jamie Spears, who has maintained legal control of his daughter since February 2008. </P><P> </P><P>According to <a href="http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20590448,00.html" target="_blank"><i>People</i> magazine</a>, Spears' father is delighted with the court's decision. "Jamie's thrilled," attorney Geraldine Wyle told reporters following the hearing, referring to Spears' father. "It's all in the family." </P><P> </P><P>Wyle also made a point to clarify the fact that the request to add Trawick as co-conservator came at Britney's request, not her father's. The 41-year-old will not have control of Spears' multimillion-dollar estate or career but will share responsibility with Jamie Spears for the singer's "general well-being," including decisions regarding food, clothing and medical care. </P><P> </P><P>Jamie Spears took steps to <a href="http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20175487,00.html" target="_blank">gain legal control</a> over his daughter's affairs in 2008 following a spate of increasingly erratic behavior that culminated in Britney's brief stay at UCLA Medical Center.
